Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 oz) bacon
  • 1 package (14 oz) smoked sausages cocktail-size
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed, light

Equipment

  • 1 18x13-inch rimmed baking sheet

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line an 18x13-inch rimmed baking sheet with foil and set a wire rack on the sheet.
  3. Cut each bacon slice crosswise into thirds.
  4. Wrap one piece of bacon around each sausage and place them seam-side down on the rack in a single layer.
  5. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the bacon-wrapped sausages.
  6. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until the bacon is browned and the sugar is bubbling.
  7. Let the smokies rest on the rack for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For even browning, arrange the smokies seam-side down in a single layer. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freezer storage is suitable. Turkey bacon can be used as a lighter swap.
