Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 6-ounce, skin-on
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest finely grated
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • 1 rimmed baking sheet

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  3. Arrange the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet and season with the salt and pepper.
  4. Stir together the melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  5. Spoon the butter mixture evenly over the salmon.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the thickest part of each fillet reaches 145°F and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Sprinkle with the parsley.
  8. Let rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, check the thickest fillet for 145°F so the salmon stays tender. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freeze for up to 2 months. For a dairy-free option, replace the butter with olive oil.
